Ontario, Calif., May 28, 2013 – Prime Healthcare is pleased to announce that five of its hospitals in the Los Angeles County area have signed an agreement with L.A. Care Health Plan.
L.A. Care, the largest publicly-operated health plan in the country, serves over one million people in Los Angeles County. One in ten county residents is an L.A. Care member.
Effective immediately, L.A. Care members will be able to receive care at in-network benefit levels from Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, Encino Hospital Medical Center in Encino, La Palma Intercommunity Hospital in La Palma, San Dimas Community Hospital in San Dimas, and Sherman Oaks Hospital in Sherman Oaks.
In 2013, Prime Healthcare was recognized as one of the "15 Top Health Systems" in the nation by Truven Health Analytics. It was the third time in five years Prime Healthcare has earned the award.
