L.A. Care, the largest publicly-operated health plan in the country, serves over one million people in Los Angeles County. One in ten county residents is an L.A. Care member.

In 2013, Prime Healthcare was recognized as one of the "15 Top Health Systems" in the nation by Truven Health Analytics. It was the third time in five years Prime Healthcare has earned the award.

"Partnering with L.A. Care and finalizing this agreement allows us to expand our relationship in the Los Angeles County area," said Prem Reddy, M.D., FACC, FCCP, Chairman, President and CEO of Prime Healthcare Services.
